WHAT: This workshop rotation model for church school was created in the early 1990's as a way to utilize Multiple Intelligences theory that we all learn differently. Each child is unique in their learning style and has many and different God-given gifts. The rotation workshop gives children the opportunity to learn a Bible story in the way they can understand best as well as develop the use of other learning modes.
WHY: Learning by repetition is proven to be a helpful tool. That is why children will rotate between different workshops and learn the same story or theme of stories in a new way each time. One story unit lasts 4-6 weeks.
HOW: The children will gather together for a brief time and then jump right into the fun of their rotation workshops. The number and ages of the children will determine how manyh workshops are shared each week. Each group or week will provide a new rotation and multiple intelligences. Children will also learn how to journal their experiences.
WHEN: Every Sunday at 9:00 a.m. in the newly re-constructed, redecorated KIDZONE located downstairs.
MUSIC IS A PART OF EACH SUNDAY CLASS. THIS INCLUDES HAVING THE CHILDREN SING DURING WORSHIP AFTER OR DURING EACH UNIT. BARBARA KEAGLE IS THE CHILDREN'S MUSIC DIRECTOR.This Summer in the Kidzone - June 1-August 24
